Melissa focuses primarily on Affordable Housing due diligence review and coordination, UCC preparation and recordation, asset sale transactions and closing transcript preparation.
Prior to Liles & Rushin:
Melissa joined Liles & Rushin in October of 2010 following a 10 year hiatus from the legal and professional world. After finishing graduate school in 1993, Melissa worked briefly as a defense litigation paralegal for Slaten Law, P.C. in Montgomery, Alabama and six years as a corporate/tax paralegal in the areas of corporate, tax, estate and ERISA law with Capell & Howard, P.C. in Montgomery, Alabama.
A life-long resident of Montgomery, Alabama, Melissa moved to the Birmingham area in 2000 and currently lives in Helena, Alabama with her husband, Steve, and two children, Jessica and Clayton.
