Courtney’s practice focuses on all aspects of Federal and State taxation. She has also advised businesses on tax and corporate business formation, acquisitions, mergers, and dispositions. Currently, Courtney’s practice focuses on the representation of clients who invest in limited partnerships and limited liability companies that develop affordable housing projects using tax credits under Sections 42 and 47 of the Internal Revenue Code, as well as debt financing of affordable housing transactions.
Prior to Liles & Rushin, LLC:
Courtney began her legal career at the Birmingham, Alabama firm of Christian & Small, LLP, where practiced in the areas of taxation, real estate, business organizations, commercial litigation, post judgment and appellate litigation, estate planning, and trust and estate administration from 2009 to 2014. Courtney also served as a guardian ad litem in the Jefferson County Probate and Circuit Courts.
